Jeremy “idolized” a sports star. For a kid getting his Masters in theology, he really needs to be more cognizant of the words he chooses. Additionally, as a Christian, I’ve watched a couple of videos with Jeremy in the last 30 minutes. I’ve never watched before. What I’ve noticed is how arrogant, sarcastic and prideful Jeremy has become. Or was he always that way? I’m truly disappointed. I don’t recall him being this way in Texas or when he and Jinger were dating. And no, not in this video, but in others. As a fellow Christian I not only have a right, but an obligation to say he needs to pray, watch his videos back, pray again, and determine what changes he needs to make. The world has gotten to him.

Beautiful home. The only thing I miss about growing up in S. CA is the fruit trees we had in our yard. You name it, we probably had it. The lot was almost 1/2 an acre so there was plenty of room for fruit trees.

Very wise Jinger. You were correct & discerning. It was sad to see Jill possibly get taken advantage of using her story to make Christianity in general look bad. There is a separation for sure-Bill Gothards teaching were not Biblical. Once I saw DuMez in the documentary I knew they were using Jill to make your family look bad in general sadly. But I think most real Christians could definitely see the difference ❤

Wow! So beautiful! I love everything you've done with your home. I had two full size sinks in my previous kitchen and I loved them. I did not have room in my current kitchen so I added two faucets to the divided sink and that solved the problem. ❤️ I love your view, the fruit trees, grapevines, and the outdoor kitchen/dining.

I watched your podcast on the “unplanned podcast” and I was really blown away at how lucky I was as a young child. Many people that I know and were close to, followed Bill Gother’s teachings. After my brother attend one of his seminars, my parents decided that it was far to captivating and controlling, and did not let us pursue it any further. So many of the things I was taught as a young girl are the same principles and really I struggle with so many of the same issues as you do. Like obedience and submission in the family and worrying that God is going to strike you dead if you step out of line, I’m so grateful that I have been able to grow into the Christian woman that I am, trusting God that he will lead me and that I don’t have to follow like a blind sheep because God doesn’t call us to be a blind sheep he calls us to follow the Shepherd. A true Shepherd never leaves his flock of stray. It’s always the wolf who comes in with the appearance of being a shepherd that leads the flock of stray and we need to be wise enough to recognize which one is which. Bless you in your journey to freedom.

Man made religious is about money and power

I remember people from my church back in the 1980s going to Bill Gothard events. It was very popular in a time when people were trying to keep families functioning and together as divorce rates continued to rise. It makes me sad that this organization abused people in the name of the church.😢

Honey….. nothing needs to be “Christian” in order to be good or worthy. Your upbringing has brainwashed you into thinking that, first, things (a documentary is a thing) can have a religion. Things are inanimate and do not have religion. Like companies. And countries. Second, getting the perspective of PEOPLE who don’t share your religious beliefs can be eye-opening. Much like marrying a man not of your beliefs already has. I challenge you to expand your bubble even further. A faith untested is just a habit. - Me. Many times. I am a cradle Christian who has had her faith challenged. Both by circumstances, believers of other faiths, non-believers, and MOST of all, believers. But they believed DIFFERENTLY than me. I have had to really examine and defend my beliefs because people outside my bubble have forced me to. There are no pits of hell. Eternal damnation lies in the eternal separation from God. Once you truly understand how that happens (violating the commandment to love one another as God has loved us), you can walk confidently with anyone. You don’t need to “guard your heart” because THAT job? God has it.
